The JBoss community consists of individuals and companies from all over the world who participate as users, testers, developers, writers and speakers for the projects. The unifying goal and vision is to develop the best possible Java Enterprise Middleware in open source, available for anyone to use with no license fees. Anybody is welcome to join in at any time and the rewards can be great, both personally and professionally. As part of the community you will have plenty of opportunities to learn from other experienced developers and users who share your desire for success.
Using the software and resources provided on the JBoss.org site is a great way to accelerate your Java enterprise application development. However by collaborating with and contributing back to the community you can help to ensure that the software works exactly as you would expect and improve the experience for everyone. There are many ways to make a contribution, including helping others on the forums, writing or editing wiki articles, testing development releases or submitting patches for bugs and new features.
| Forums If you're stuck and need a helping hand then use the forums to post questions to the community. Or search for answers from people who've had similar problems before. You can even join in discussions with the project teams about current development issues and help to decide the future of the software. |

| Documentation If you're getting to know a product or want to know how a certain feature works then starting with the documentation is always a good idea. Although written mainly by members of the project team you are welcome to contribute new material to help explain how the software behaves and how it should be used. |
Join a Project Team If you're actively involved in a project and want to play a larger role in its development then apply to join the project team. All applications are considered based on previous contributions and anyone is welcome to become a member once they have demonstrated their abilities. |
| Issue Tracking Help to keep projects running smoothly by submitting bug reports and suggesting new features. If you're waiting for a particular issue to be resolved then you can request to be notified by email when development is complete, or even lend a hand by submitting patches yourself. |
